Deportation looms for 508 Nigerians in Saudi Arabia

Close to 508 Nigerian citizens living illegally in Saudi Arabia are set for deportation. This follows the expiration of 4 months amnesty given to them by Saudi Kingdom to regularize their stay in the country. Nigeria’s Consular General in Jeddah, Ambassador Ahmed Umar made this known in a press briefing in Abuja today. He said those awaiting deportation are Nigerians who have volunteered to return back home. The deportation will begin tomorrow, Wednesday the 25th of December 2013.
